Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a studio?
Yes, I do. My studio is conveniently located on the Pacific Highway in Roseville opposite the station. Outdoor shoots can be taken in your home and/or garden or favourite outdoor location.

Where are Newborn shoots done?
Newborn shoots are best done in Studio. You are welcome to request an in-home shoot for your Newborn session, these do have an additional fee of $50 on top of the regular session fee in Studio.

Do you have Newborn props?
Yes. Babies are beautiful just as they are, but I do bring a selection of wraps and throws, and also have a couple of bowls and baskets and a nest to add natural texture to your photographs. You are welcome to include any of these and if you have anything in particular you would like to include that is no problem.

Can I purchase digital files?
Yes, you can purchase individual photos starting at $190 and I also offer a range of digital packages starting at $700 which include a 5x7” reference print of each purchased photo. Digital files are delivered via a secure online downloadable gallery. All print purchases also come with a matching high resolution digital file.

What size are digital files supplied at?
When purchased as high resolution files, digital files are supplied at 300dpi at 3600px on the long edge.

Will you give me the RAW files?
No, RAW files are not supplied. I take pride in shooting and creating beautiful images you will love and handing out RAW files would be giving you unfinished work. Every photograph you purchase is hand-edited in my unique style and supplied to you fully colour and density corrected and high resolution files are ready for printing.

How do I see the photos after the shoot?
After your shoot we arrange a design appointment held in studio to select your final images. I will also help you decide on printing and framing, a beautiful album or something even more special.

Will I see all the photos you have taken on the day?
The very best of your photos are selected for proofing and from these you choose your final images for editing.

Can I select my prints on another date following after the proofing session?
Printing and framing is best selected at the proofing session as photos are only archived for 30 days after the delivery of a completed job. Only one design appointment is included with each shoot, an additional consult fee may apply for additional appointments.

Can I edit the digital files myself?
No, this is not permitted under our agreement.

Will I own Copyright of the high res images?
Any high res images purchased are supplied with a a non-exclusive perpetual personal-use license for Personal Use Only. Personal use means non-commercial use of the photographs for display on personal websites and computers, or making image prints or video copies for personal use only. Naomi Reiter Photography retains copyright of all images taken and supplied. For full details please see the Copyright page.

Can I use any of the proofs before receiving the finished files?
Until photographs have been purchased the photographs remain the exclusive property of Naomi Reiter Photography. Using photos without purchase, even just a screen shot or video of your slideshow is a breach of Copyright. Please note the Shoot Fee does not include the purchase of photographs.

What does the shoot fee cover?
The shoot fee covers your shoot (1-2 hours), local travel and your design appointment.

Is my shoot fee refundable?
By paying your shoot fee, a date and time is exclusively reserved for you so it is not refundable. It is transferable in extenuating circumstances and in the case of bad weather. Please see the Terms of Sale page for full details.

What if it rains for a shoot on location?
We will reschedule if it's unforgivingly wet. Overcast is no problem and sometimes even light rain is fine.

What if my kids get sick?
Please let us know as soon as possible if anyone in your family becomes unwell and your shoot will be rescheduled.

What do we wear?
Essentially, keep it simple. You will be emailed a general information sheet before your shoot to help your prepare.

Will you retouch images?
It's usually easier to wipe a snotty nose before it's in a shoot than to retouch multiple photos! But yes, if it's necessary, basic retouching (or Photoshopping) of minor blemishes and marks is included in all packages. Major retouching is not included and will be quoted and/or charged as requested at the current hourly rate of $120 inc GST.

Can you create fine art portraits?
Absolutely!! If your little one has always dreamt of a photo with a unicorn this can be arranged!! Unicorns or not, if you are after something truly unique we can create a story or an idea together to be photographed, created and treasured. Custom prices apply, minimum $1000 spend.
